Like the other two planes already in the country, this third one should strengthen domestic and regional routes.

Called 'Cunene', the aircraft has low levels of pollution and fuel consumption, being able to carry 74 passengers (64 in economy class and 10 in business class). It can also reach a flying range of six hours and fly up to 2500 meters of altitude, reaching a speed of 700 km per hour.

In a statement to the Angolan newspaper Jornal de Angola, TAAG's maintenance and engineering director, Nelson Rodrigues de Oliveira, assured that all aircraft purchased from the Canadian company should be in the country by the end of June.

"This is an aircraft that is part of a set of six acquired by TAAG. We have already received three aircraft and three more are missing, which should arrive in the middle of the year, between the months of April, May and June. The estimate is to receive one aircraft per month. Until the middle of the year, we will have all the aircraft acquired in the country", he indicated.

Hugo Amaral, TAAG's executive director, responsible for the aeronautical operator, civil aviation authorities, among others, were present at the airplane's reception ceremony, which took place at the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport.

The country received the first Canadian aircraft on June 29, 2020. The plane was named 'Kwanza'. In August of last year, the second aircraft arrived, which was baptized 'Zaire'.
