The visit of the President of the Republic and the First Lady, João Lourenço and Ana Dias Lourenço, respectively, to the exhibition took place shortly before the start of the fourth award ceremony for figures who contributed to an independent Angola.

The presidential couple then spent a few minutes exploring the exhibition space, which is on display at the Intercontinental Hotel.

The Organizing Committee for the 50th Anniversary of National Independence Celebrations is promoting this exhibition, which aims to pay tribute to Angolan women, highlighting their role as guardians of collective memory, creators of identities, and agents of cultural renewal, writes Angop.

"Art and Identity in the Feminine" is a tribute to the creative vigor of Angolan women and their contribution to national cultural affirmation, also serving as a tribute to the living memory of the Angolan people.

Thus, the exhibition suggests a sensory journey through textures, shapes, and colors, intersecting ancestral knowledge with contemporary artistic expressions.

The artists involved, through their works, extol values such as freedom, belonging, peace and development, in a celebration of Angolan identity within the scope of 50 years of independence, writes Angop.
