According to a note released this Tuesday by the institute, this cycle of meetings, dubbed "'Roadshow' PROPRIV", will be the first in 2021 and is a joint initiative of IGAPE, the Ministry of Finance and the embassies of the countries.

The meetings will be held virtually through the Zoom platform and will have an estimated duration of between two and three hours.

The Wednesday meeting will be attended by the Minister of Finance, Vera Daves de Sousa, the executive director of IGAPE, Augusto Kalikemala, the chairman of the executive committee of the Angola Debt and Securities Exchange (Bodiva), Walter Pacheco, and of Sonangol representatives.

The note adds that "in each of the events, interventions by representatives of the embassies are also foreseen" and that during the meetings relevant information and clarifications will be provided on the assets of the sectors to be privatized under PROPRIV.

The first session starts on Wednesday, at 2 pm, with five more meetings planned for the end of the year, with investors from the United States of America, Germany, the United Kingdom and China.

"With these meetings, IGAPE, as the entity responsible for the operationalization and materialization of PROPRIV, reiterates once again its commitment to create mechanisms to improve the promotion of the program with the international community, in order to contribute to attracting investors from reference for privatization processes," defended the institute.

PROPRIV was announced in August 2019 and intends to sell the capital of 195 companies owned or participated by the State by 2022.
