According to Angop, children up to 12 years old are free to enter the event, which also offers accessible transportation.
This year's edition of the country's largest business fair has the motto "50 Years Consolidating Angola's Economic Independence and Integration in the World" and features some new features, such as a name change.
After 39 editions, FILDA changed from the Luanda International Fair to the Angola International Fair. Last month, when the event was presented, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rui Miguêns, justified this change by stating that, due to the new political-administrative division, the event is now geographically located in the province of Icolo e Bengo, hence the name change.
"For now, we will maintain the name FILDA because it represents history, and later, with some certain ease, we will find a different name if necessary," the governor said at the time.
Other new features of this edition include the Angolan culture hall, which will feature paintings, handicrafts, and other exhibits, as well as a pavilion dedicated exclusively to the automotive sector.
Thus, roughly five days before the event's opening, preparations are afoot. According to Angop, three large tents have already been set up at the venue to showcase various products and services.
Among the nearly completed setups, which only require final adjustments, are the booths of oil companies, especially Sonangol, ports, and technology. The two meeting rooms have also been set up, with only a few adjustments and furniture remaining.
The fair will take place from July 22nd to 27th, and approximately 1,182 companies have already confirmed their attendance. Approximately 16 countries will be represented at this fair, with Portugal standing out.
In terms of opening hours, FILDA will be open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and those interested in purchasing a ticket can do so here.
