In addition to Banco Keve, at the awards ceremony – which took place this Sunday and where the vice-governor for Technical Services and Infrastructure, Adilson Gonçalves, was present – Unitel was also distinguished, in the information technology and telecommunications category, as well as Salinas Calombolo, in the salt industry category.
Among the winners, according to a statement from the provincial government of Benguela, to which VerAngola had access, are Vimar e Filhos (agriculture and fishing), Auto Matriz (machinery and equipment) and AGT (category of public entities and companies).
Omatapalo (manufacturing industry and public works), Standard Bank Angola (banking), Ensa (insurance), Central Lab (commerce, health and well-being), Cartaplast (graphics, packaging, paper and cardboard industry) and CFB ( best in transport and logistics), were also awarded.
Quoted in the note, the vice-governor took the opportunity to thank "all the businesspeople who spared no effort to be present" at this edition of the fair.
Furthermore, he also took the opportunity to "reinforce the businesspeople present at the gala to continue investing" in Benguela.
Hélio Silva, director of Banco Keve do Agronegócio, stated that it was a source of pride to receive this award, having committed to continuing his contribution and participation in all events, explaining that in this edition the bank's stand had all the services that the institution offers.
"We demonstrated to our customers, partners and fair visitors what Banco Keve is, with the new slogan, which is the bank that moves forward. We want to move forward with our country", he said, quoted by Jornal de Angola.
In turn, Yara Custódio, spokesperson for the Omatapalo Group, highlighted their pride in having been recognized. "We are very proud to receive this recognition for the second year in a row. This achievement not only validates our continued commitment to excellence and innovation in the manufacturing and public works industry, but also reinforces the group's role in a sustainable future, strengthening the relationship proximity to communities, while contributing to the promotion of socioeconomic development in the country", pointed out Yara Custódio, quoted in a statement sent to VerAngola.
It should be noted that the 13th edition of FIB – where 393 companies participated – received 20 thousand visitors, which corresponds to an increase of approximately 7000 visits compared to the previous edition, whose number of visitors was 13,500. This growth in visits, according to Jornal de Angola, can be justified by the extension of the fair's holding period, which this year had five days, as opposed to the usual four.
According to Manuel Novais, administrator of the Eventos Arena business group, the balance of the fair is positive. "For this edition, another day was increased, compared to the last edition, to privilege families, with the creation of the amusement park, which was widely visited", he said, quoted by Jornal de Angola.
According to the person responsible, the first day was marked by more institutional visits, while in the last two days the event was more focused on receiving visits from families.
And although the end of the 13th edition of the FIB is still fresh, people are already thinking about the next edition. According to the person responsible, more than 95 percent of companies that were present at the fair have already confirmed their presence in the next edition, and assured that some said they wanted to expand their area, writes Jornal de Angola.
It should also be noted that the organization of this edition of FIB created approximately 2000 jobs, both direct and indirect, and, in addition to these, the exhibitors also generated other jobs.
