Textang II will start clothing production and is looking for seamstresses

Textang II is hiring seamstresses to start producing clothes in 2022. Jorge Amaral, chairman of the company's Board of Directors (PCA), explained that the installation of equipment to start the production of clothes is in the final stretch and that the company wants to hire the first 30 seamstresses to start producing garments.

Pants, shirts, dresses, shorts and blouses will be some of the pieces that will be produced by the factory. Speaking to Jornal de Angola, the official said that the factory will produce clothes for both adults and children of both sexes.

The manufacturing unit is producing, per month, around 250 thousand meters of fabric. However, with the start of a second work shift, Textang II aims to reach 750,000 meters next year.

However, the company's objective is to reach the maximum capacity of the unit (900 thousand meters), but for that "the factory will have to operate 24 hours a day, with three work shifts", explained the person in charge.

Jorge Amaral considered that the increase in fabric production could help the emergence of new factories in the sector: "With the increase in production, I believe that there will be a growing interest in the art of sewing, as the country will have a lot of supply from main raw material".
