Angola is already in the handball CAN quarter-finals

Angola is already qualified for the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) in handball. However, this Monday, the senior women's national team of the modality returns to the scene to fulfill the calendar and close the group stage in a match against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

If the national team wins this last game of the preliminary round, it will be undefeated in this round, as it won the other two games.

It should be noted that this Monday's game against the DRC counterpart is scheduled for 18:00 local time (another hour in Angola).

Angola made its debut in the competition – which is taking place in Senegal – with a victory against Algeria (29-17). On Sunday, the national team faced its counterpart from Cape Verde, having won by 38-15.

With these two victories, the national team leads its group with four points, having already stamped its passage to the quarter-finals. In second place is the DRC, also with two points, followed by Algeria and Cape Verde, with zero points each.
