The manager, who did not disclose the length of his contract, said he believes the Portuguese coach is the right person to lead the team to the top of the national championship, as he is familiar with the country's football.
The 44-year-old Portuguese coach, who will be introduced in the coming days, returns to Angola after previously coaching Santa Rita de Cássia, Kabuscorp do Palanca, and Desportivo da Lunda Sul.
Sérgio Traguil has also coached in Ghana, Oman, Mozambique, Tanzania, Botswana, Uganda, and Libya. He has not coached a Portuguese team for over 10 years, after leaving Estrela de Portalegre, a district team of that Alentejo association.
