In a statement sent to VerAngola, Sodiba reveals that the premiere will take place on October 23, Friday.
Initially composed of 11 episodes, the "Kings of Afro House" will be transformed into a "great musical documentary" to be screened in Amsterdam.
André Cardiga, Head of Digital at Sodiba, admitted that this achievement is "a pride". "This documentary is, above all, a tribute to the Afro House genre and to the artists, and to be invited to make its international debut in one of the largest electronic music events in the world, the ADE conference should be a source of pride for all of us," he said.
According to the note, the documentary "addresses the particularities of the musical genre, what differentiates it from other genres, the legacy it already carries and how its main agents see its future".
The documentary brings together some of Afro House's best DJs and producers, offering a "global view of the life of each of these artists". The way these DJ's and "different styles within the genre connect, inspire and make happen the rhythms that have been thrilling the world of electronic music", is also covered in the documentary.
The documentary features artists of various nationalities: Angolans, South Africans, Canadians, Germans, Italians and Cape Verdeans. Among the names that are part of it are Afropupo, Floyd Lavine, Djeff, Wilson Kentura, Paso Doble, MoBlack, Afro Killerz, Hyenah, Enoo Napa, Irmãos Alves and Satélite.
ADE is an electronic music conference and festival that takes place every year in Amsterdam. "This year this great event will take place in a special format, taking into account the moment we live in the world", completes the note.
