The 36th edition of this event, which did not take place last year due to the covid-19 pandemic, was scheduled for September 28th to October 2nd, but the organization decided to postpone the date, following the recommendation of the national authorities, as this is an international event and to enable a greater adhesion of foreign companies and visitors, given the gradual opening of the economy, is read in the note that Lusa had access to.

The government changed the prevention measures against covid-19 on the 1st of September, putting an end to the sanitary fence in Luanda and the mandatory quarantine for citizens coming from abroad with proof of complete vaccination.

"Several are the measures being considered for the end of September, such as the opening of airspace and the increase in international air flights for all companies and, consequently, the gradual discontinuation of all economic activities", writes the organization of FILDA.

The last edition of Filda, held in 2019, had representations from 21 countries.

This year, the Arena group, promoter of the event, once again chose the Special Economic Zone (ZEE) to host the fair, having already initiated contacts at international level and received expressions of interest in their own representations by Portugal, Germany, Indonesia , South Korea, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Belarus, according to a source at the organization, in May.
