According to Angolan National Radio (RNA), the invitation was delivered to the director of the African Department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Du Xiaohui, during a meeting in which the Angolan diplomat also discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation and the importance of promoting regular technical meetings between the two countries.
During the meeting, Du Xiaohui reiterated the strategic value of Sino-Angolan relations and recalled the support that China has given Angola at crucial moments in its recent history, highlighting Beijing's interest in continuing to deepen the economic and political partnership.
China is Angola's main economic partner and the country's largest bilateral creditor. After the end of the civil war in 2002, Beijing played a decisive role in national reconstruction programs, financing infrastructure projects in exchange for regular oil supplies.
