According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, five cases are from Cabinda province, three from Bié, two from Zaire, four from Benguela and 36 from Luanda, aged between one month and 81 years, 32 male and 20 female.
In the last 24 hours no patient has been recovered, maintaining an accumulated of 1215 recovered patients and 1694 active, of which three are in critical condition, under invasive mechanical ventilation, 19 severe, 48 moderate, 44 mild and 1580 asymptomatic.
"At the moment, we have 384 patients who are in different centers to be followed," said Franco Mufinda.
As far as testing is concerned, 394 samples have been processed in the last 24 hours, 52 of which are positive, a total of 60,966 samples based on molecular biology to date, of which 3033 are positive.
The ruler stressed that the country continues to register the growth of cases, so he called for the observation of prevention measures that include physical distance, frequent hand washing, the use of the mask and population gatherings, as well as the non violation of the sanitary fence.
"More than that, we think that each one of us must assume his responsibility, to protect himself and the community," he said.
According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, the current month is the one in which more cases are expected.
The pandemic of the new coronavirus that causes covid-19 has already caused 893,524 deaths and infected more than 27.3 million people in 196 countries and territories, according to a balance made by the French agency AFP.
The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected at the end of December in Wuhan, a city in central China.
After Europe succeeded China as the center of the pandemic in February, the American continent is now the one with the most confirmed cases and the most deaths.
