The holder of the Health portfolio made it known that the agreement to move forward with the creation of a drug factory in the country is already prepared, however, it did not reveal when it will be signed.
"We would like, still in this legislature, to have the opportunity to have a medicine factory working. It is always a not so linear process, but I believe that it will still be possible", he said, quoted by Jornal de Angola.
India is a world reference in terms of medicine manufacturing and has good hospitals and good health programs, he said, admitting that it is "necessary to look at this Asian power in terms of knowledge, health industry and pharmaceuticals".
"India is a major drug manufacturer and we intend to create factories," he stressed.
Indicating that Angola is building hospitals, Sílvia Lutucuta considered that the Asian country could also help in the training of national health professionals: "We are building hospitals in several provinces and we need to train more technicians, and to this end, we should take advantage of the capacity of this partner".
Angola will be able to make use of "information technologies, tele-medicine, tele-classrooms" that will help realize the government's "ambitious program" in the "specialized training at various levels" of national health professionals, he added.
Also on the table is the conclusion of an agreement that foresees the abolition of visas in diplomatic and service passports between the two countries and the potentiation of national agriculture.
