The head of the Central Bank's Department of the Circulating Environment, Sebastião Banganga, quoted by Angop, considered that the new notes were well accepted by the market.
He stressed that at the beginning of circulation it was found, through the social networks, that the population was reticent with the new banknotes, showing resistance to their use. However, he said that this problem had already been overcome.
The new family of kwanzas will be introduced gradually into the market. On 17 September the 500 kwanza banknote will circulate, on 1 October the 1000 kwanza banknote will be added and on 11 November the 2000 kwanza banknote will arrive.
"As they become available, the banknotes will be obtained at the counters of commercial banks and cash dispensers," explained Sebastião Banganga.
