The Academy, organized by the Global First Ladies Alliance (GFLA), in partnership with Columbia University, brought together First Ladies from Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East for certified executive leadership training, focusing on public health, gender equality, resource mobilization, food security, diplomacy of influence, and development and social impact.
According to a statement obtained by VerAngola, strategic topics were discussed over three days, with high-level sessions on transformative leadership in times of polarization. There was also time for a roundtable discussion on sharing best practices, resource mobilization for First Ladies' initiatives, and social impact communication campaigns, which was closed by Ana Dias Lourenço.
The First Lady's participation in this platform "reinforces her commitment to sustainable human development, with a special focus on women's health, quality education for girls, and women's economic empowerment," the government stated.
