The laying of the first stone symbolizes the beginning of the project to convert Cine Alfa into a Museum of Cinema and Moving Images.
Under the responsibility of the company Obra In Construção Civil, the work should be completed within a year and is valued at more than two billion kwanzas, reports Jornal de Angola.
On the occasion, Filipe Zau considered that the conversion of Cine Alfa 1 and 2 into the Museum of Cinema and Moving Images demonstrates an appreciation for this type of art, as well as the Government's concern with conserving this cultural legacy for future generations.
It is worth remembering that, in March last year, the President of the Republic authorized an expenditure of 2.2 billion kwanzas for the requalification work at Cine Alfa 1 and 2.
