According to presidential order n.º 51/23 of March 20, which Lusa had access to this Wednesday, the contract for the requalification and equipping of Cine Alfa 1 and 2, within the scope of its conversion into a Museum of Cinema and Images in Motion, will be celebrated with the company OBRAIN – Civil Construction and Public Works.
The supervision of this public works contract will be the responsibility of the company Golden Hill, Lda., of Lebanese origin, and will have a global value of 250 million kwanzas.
The measure, refers to the presidential dispatch, aims to make infrastructure an "essential element for the development of national culture".
João Lourenço also delegates to the Minister of Culture and Tourism the competence, with the power to sub-delegate, for the approval of the parts of the procedure, as well as for the verification of the validity and legality of all the acts carried out within the scope of the referred procedure.
In another diploma, João Lourenço updates the contract for the rehabilitation and construction of Casa do Artista and Palácio da Música e do Teatro, with a global value of 85 million dollars, due to the corporate restructuring of the Israeli group Mitrelli, which transferred all rights for Mitrelli Group Swiss, from January 1, 2021.
The dispatch to which Lusa had access this Wednesday states that the contract will be signed with the company Athena Swiss, AG, a subsidiary of the company Mitrelli Group, plus 14 percent VAT (Value Added Tax).
João Lourenço, in the same order, also authorizes the provision of inspection services for the rehabilitation and construction of the Casa da Música and the Theater in the global amount of 3.3 million dollars, plus 14 percent VAT with the company DAR Angola.
