According to a statement from the government of the province of Bié, to which VerAngola had access, the ceremony to relaunch the works was presided over by the governor of Bié, Celeste Adolfo.
The provincial governor "appealed to the company in charge of the work to comply with the contractual deadlines, and requested that each citizen act as an inspector of the major infrastructure that will reinforce medical and pharmaceutical assistance in the province of Bié".
"The works, which are being carried out by the company China Zhongtai Senda, are estimated at more than four billion kwanzas and will be completed within 18 months", reads the note from the provincial government.
The rehabilitation project for the future hospital "includes several specialist services, subdivided into five areas".
