According to data released in the Cholera Outbreak Situation Report, for Thursday, ten deaths were recorded, distributed across the provinces of Namibe (2), Cuanza Sul (4), Huíla (3) and Luanda (1), and 248 cases, with Namibe province leading the number of cases, with 115 infections.
Since January of this year, Angola has been facing a cholera epidemic, which began in Luanda, with the country accumulating 709 deaths and 23,674 cases, with a fatality rate of three percent.
The province of Luanda has the highest number of cases (6,733) and deaths (217), followed by Benguela with 4681 cases and 107 deaths.
The disease has spread to 18 of the country's 21 provinces.
