According to the Secretary of State, who was speaking on Tuesday at the 42nd thematic session promoted by the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication and under the theme "International Cooperation Program and Angolan Communities in the Diaspora", of the approximately 600,000 Angolans abroad, more than 330,000 are in Europe.
Quoted by Angop, Domingos Vieira Lopes clarified that Europe has a total of 331,375 Angolans.
Next comes Africa, which has 242,431 Angolan citizens, America with 27,048 Angolans and Asia and Oceania with 2,315 Angolans.
In his speech, the official also reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been working together with the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights to issue identity cards to Angolan citizens living in the diaspora and added that, in this regard, approximately 18 countries have identity card offices, where data is collected, which is then sent to issue the document and subsequently distributed in these same locations.
Among other aspects, he also reported that the country has a total of 64 diplomatic missions in Europe, Africa, America, Asia and the Oceania and 29 consulates.
Cited by Angop, the secretary also said that, during the past year, the Diplomatic and Consular Missions carried out 591,091 acts, as well as issuing 9347 identity cards, 10,104 passports and 330 entry visas.
