National artists can now sell their work in more than 25 countries through the BayQi platform

The national e-commerce platform, BayQi, launched the VISA service, which will enable national artists to sell their works across borders. With this service, payments are made over the Internet, giving artists the opportunity to sell their works in more than 25 countries.

According to Novo Jornal, among the more than two dozen countries where the works can be sold are Brazil, Portugal, the United States of America, the Democratic Republic of Congo, São Tomé, Ethiopia, Cape Verde, South Africa, Senegal, Nigeria, Namibia and Mozambique.

The founder and CEO of BayQi, Fátima Almeida, explained that since the payments are made over the Internet, they can be made anywhere in the world, thus opening doors for the commercialization of the works outside the country.

Quoted by Novo Jornal, Fátima Almeida said that the launch of the VISA service "marks another step in the globalization process of BayQi and is, at the same time, an opportunity" for national artists to commercialize their works.

"BayQi has always given a singular importance to national arts. Very recently, for example, we promoted a book fair with the participation of national writers and publishers," he added.

For now, books by Pepetela, Ondjaki, José Eduardo Agualusa, among others, can be purchased through the VISA service. However, in addition to books, the platform is also ready to sell paintings, handicrafts, among others.

The responsible explained that for this the authors only have to contact the platform to request that their works be sold outside the country. The contact can be made through the BayQi website or by calling 939 725 027.

Fátima Almeida also revealed that this service will allow citizens who are abroad to buy other types of products to help their families who live in Angola.

"The biggest objective is to connect Africa with the world. With this service, as we have already mentioned, we will be able to connect individuals and families. There are many families who are outside Angola, who want, for example, to buy telephones or food for relatives in the country, and now they can do it through BayQi", she clarified.

Fátima Almeida also considered that with the VISA service the Angolan companies will have the opportunity to expand business: "The businessmen now have a great opportunity to act in the international market, once the products in the BayQi platform are available for more than 25 countries, as we have already emphasized. To do so, all they have to do is contact us through our customer service line or by email."

BayQi was established in 2016 and is an e-commerce platform. The company brings together more than 50 domestic and foreign companies operating in various market sectors.
