The decision to create this 'online' collection is due to the fact that the institution wants to adapt to digital culture, the importance of which has become evident during this period of emergency because of the covid-19 pandemic.
The main objective of the exhibition is the dissemination of works by national artists. According to the institution on its Facebook, the exhibition is composed of a collection of works by various artists who, since the institution opened, have had their works exhibited at Memorial Agostinho Neto.
"Unlike private collections that usually reflect the taste of the collector and the way he relates to the artistic production and creators of his time, the public collections, such as the Memorial Collection Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto shows, on the one hand, the level at which they were artists at the time they exhibited in our rooms," explains the institution.
Here you will find works by artists such as Cristiano Mangovo, Guilherme Mampuya, Fineza Teta, Álvaro Macieira, Guizef, Paulo Amaral, Maiomona Vua, Albino da Conceição, Zélia Ferreira and Ernesto Airosa Gonçalves.
If you are interested in visiting the collection you can do so through Facebook or the institution's website.
