"The signing of this agreement with Editora Acácias reflects our commitment to enrich Angola's digital literary landscape. We are inaugurating a new era, in which literature becomes more accessible, inclusive and sustainable," he said.
The aforementioned "unprecedented collaboration" aims to make available around 200 titles by national and foreign authors, the note states.
In this way, this "pioneer movement" will enable readers anywhere in the world, as long as they have access to the Internet, "to delve into a wide selection of literary works at significantly more advantageous prices", as costs related to printing and physical distribution.
The environmental issue is also present in this action. "In addition to facilitating access to a very rich literary collection, this partnership promotes a more sustainable and ecological literary industry, minimizing the need to use physical resources and promoting more responsible practices", points out the statement.
Another of the advantages is the fact that it makes it easier for new authors to publish their works, by removing "financial and logistical obstacles that often prevent the launch of new talents in the publishing market", thus ending up contributing "to the dynamism and growth of the digital literary ecosystem" in the country, through the free publication of literary works.
The publication of Editora Acácias titles on Kioxke will begin in the next few days. According to the statement, it will be possible to make "instant payments through Multicaixa Express or bank transfer, with prices for digital books around 30 percent lower compared to their physical versions."
