According to Novo Jornal, GPL did not reveal the cost of hiring these companies, but gave the names of the operators that will carry out garbage collection in Luanda.
The list includes Elisal EP, Er-Sol Lda, Sambiente, Multilimpeza Lda, Jump Business Lda, Chay Chay Lda and Consórcio Dassala/Envirobac Lda.
According to the same newspaper, Elisal Ep will be responsible for cleaning the waste in the municipality of Luanda and in the municipality of Cazenga. The municipality of Icolo and Bengo is in the hands of Er-Sol Lda, while the municipalities of Quissama and Viana have been handed over to Sambiente.
The garbage in Cacuaco will be collected by Multilimpeza Lda, while the municipalities of Belas, Kilamba Kiaki and Talatona are in the hands of Jump Business Lda, Chay Chay Lda and the Consórcio Dassala/Enviobac Lda, respectively.
The service concession will be concluded this Tuesday, March 30th, with the signing of the contracts. The companies will start operating immediately after the contracts are signed, the same newspaper reports.
Remember that at the end of last year, LPG suspended the contract with the cleaning operators, for inability to support the payment in national currency, indexed to the dollar.
Since then, the problems with piles of garbage have been intensifying in the capital.
