Angola beats Tunisia and qualifies for the handball CAN semi-finals

This Wednesday, Angola won the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) in handball, after beating Tunisia by 29-24.

In the first part of the game, counting for the quarter-finals of the competition, the national senior women's handball team managed to maintain some advantage on the scoreboard, adding a four-point advantage (16-12) at halftime.

The end of the match dictated the victory of the national team, which beat the Tunisian counterpart with an advantage of five points (29-24).

This victory grants Angola passage to the semi-finals of the competition.

The player Helena Paulo was elected the most valuable player in the game (in English Most Valuable Player – MVP), with 10 goals.

It should be noted that the national team ended the group stage undefeated, after having won the three matches of the preliminary stage.

Although it still does not know its next opponent, Angola will play in the semi-finals with the winner of the Egypt-Senegal match, which will also take place this Wednesday, at 7:30 pm local time.

It should be noted that the CAN takes place in Senegal until 19 November.
