Handball CAN: Angola wins DRC and ends group stage undefeated

This Monday, Angola beat the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in a game counting for the group stage of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) in handball. With this victory, the national senior women's team of the sport ended the preliminary round undefeated.

In this Monday's game, the national team won by 35-22. In the first part of the match, although the difference was small, the national team went to halftime with an advantage on the scoreboard (17-14).

At the final whistle, Angola assumed itself as the winner with an advantage of 13 points over its opponent.

Athlete Magda Cazanga won the most valuable player award (in English most valuable player - MVP), scoring eight goals.

Although already qualified for the quarter-finals, Angola ended the group stage undefeated, winning all three matches in the preliminary stage of the competition.

The national team returns to the scene this Wednesday, November 16, where they will face Tunisia in a game for the quarter-finals.

Remember that the competition is taking place in Senegal, between 9 and 19 November.
