The Angolan won the gold medal after beating her opponent from Sweden Jenny Oster Hal in the competition, which, according to Angop, translates into an unprecedented feat in the modality at the level of Paralympic athletes.
According to a note from the Angolan Jiu Jitsu Federation, to which VerAngola had access, at the world championship, which took place in the United Arab Emirates, the country won a total of 12 medals.
Of the 12 medals, two were gold, two silver, seven bronze and one bronze per team.
It should be noted that the country ended the championship in 18th position in the world ranking of the sport.
