Emadel's new factory will generate more than a hundred jobs

Emadel will generate more than a hundred jobs with the start of operations, in the first six months of 2022, of its new factory, located in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE) of Luanda.

About 12 million dollars is how much Emadel, headquartered in Lubango (Huíla), is investing to start production in the capital.

Dedicated to the production of furniture and objects made from wood, the company aims to market products made with national raw materials tailored to its customers, such as doors, sideboards, among others.

Armando Ferreira, director-general of Emadel, indicated that the project is part of an area of ​​54 thousand square meters, of which 8000 are covered, where greenhouse, wood drying and sawmill areas are being generated.

Cited by Angop, the official added that in 2019 the company had a turnover of 2.9 billion kwanzas. In 2020, due to the pandemic, the figure dropped to 2.4 billion kwanzas, but it is estimated that next year the volume will increase to around four billion kwanzas.

Armando Ferreira also made it known that the company currently employs 294 people.
