Criola Festival returns to Lisbon to pay tribute to Angolan singer Bonga

Angolan musician Bonga is honored at this year's edition of Festa Criola, which takes place between the 2nd and 4th of November in Bairro Portugal Novo, Alfama and Beato, in Lisbon, with music, gastronomy and sport.

Project created by Dino d' Santiago and Mónica Rey, Festa Criola will feature performances by Iolanda, the presentation of an unprecedented project by Selma Uamusse at the Fado Museum and the curatorship of actress Cláudia Semedo, in the area of expression, who invites Eva Rap Diva and Papillon giving voice to a 'talk' in Bairro do Portugal Novo.

According to the executive producer of Festa Crioula, Mónica Rey, in this edition the stage will be filled with "timbres, melodies and poems that, in addition to artistic value, bring people and communities together".

Journalist Tom Farias, from Folha de São Paulo, in Brazil, invites journalists to, on November 3rd, discuss the future of journalism and its identity, at the Fado Museum.

Beato's creative center will bring together 'DJ's' such as Cruzfader, Beatoven, DJ Big, DJ Bomberjack and Rádio Cacheu who make up the electronic beat lineup of this Criola Festival.
