"As part of the normalization of the foreign exchange market, Banco Nacional Angola, defined, on October 15, new procedures that aim to relax the limits applicable to the various payment instruments used in foreign exchange operations to import goods", indicates the central bank, in a statement posted on its website.
Importers are thus able to freely negotiate payment terms for the import of goods, which are not subject to annual limits or per transaction, except for advance payments or advances.
In this case, importers can use up to 50 thousand dollars per operation or up to 10 percent of the total amount of an operation, under a letter of credit.
Letters of credit are the payment instruments most used in Angola in international trade transactions.
