Cited by Angop, the Secretary of State for Public Health also took the opportunity to indicate that the Government should increase the number of mobile brigades, with a view to serving a greater number of citizens.

The Minister of State and Head of the House of Security of the President of the Republic, Francisco Furtado, informed that the Government's objective is, by December, to vaccinate six million people.

He also informed that 70,000 people are being vaccinated every day across the country, against the previously 25,000 to 30,000 citizens vaccinated daily, writes Jornal de Angola.

During a working visit to Benguela, the official also made it known that the vaccination process is going well and suggested that mobile vaccination posts be increased.

AstraZeneca now available

AstraZeneca vaccine is available again. According to Franco Mufinda, citizens who were waiting to receive the second dose of this vaccine can now travel, from this Tuesday, to the health posts to complete their vaccination.

The official indicated that this vaccine is already available at High Performance Vaccination Posts.

He also commented on the fact that some citizens have a preference for the vaccine brand, considering that the important thing is to have complete vaccination.

The vaccines are endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and for this reason "they cannot be an impediment for people to complete the two doses of the covid-19 pandemic vaccine", writes Jornal de Angola.
