Luanda Provincial Health Fair brings free consultations to communities

The Provincial Government of Luanda, through its Health Office, in partnership with the Child Unprotected project, will hold the Provincial Health Fair between September 30th and October 1st.

According to a statement from the provincial government to which VerAngola had access, the fair will take place from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, in the municipality of Belas (urban district of Morro dos Veados, neighborhood alligator II, sector 2 – Campo da Mulemba, entrance of the Jerusa College).

This initiative aims to bring health services closer to the community, with the aim of preventing diseases.

The service will be free and health services will be offered, such as: medical consultations, pediatrics, care for pregnant women, family planning, vaccination, nutritional screening, healthy child care, active case search, educational lectures, hypertension screening, demonstration of proper hand washing, distribution of male condoms, leaflets with key messages on disease prevention, distribution of mini doses of Bactivec for anti-larval control.

For this activity, all municipal health departments are integrated and 140 professionals are directly involved.

In this context, the Provincial Health Office appealed to the population to adhere to the services that will be provided, as they will be supporting the Executive in preventing diseases and improving health indicators.
