According to Franco Mufinda, the cases were confirmed in the provinces of Luanda (285), Cuanza Sul (49), Huambo (48), Huíla (30), Cuando Cubango (28), Zaire (seven), Malanje (six), Cabinda (four), Bié (two), Lunda Norte, Moxico and Namibe (one each), aged between 1 and 86 years, with 226 males and 326 females.
The 12 deaths, of nine men and three women, aged between 44 and 49, occurred "six in Luanda, three in Huambo, two in Huila and one in Cuando Cubango," said Franco Mufinda.
The 55 people considered recovered in the same period, between the ages of 2 and 82, were 24 in Huambo, 16 in Luanda, eight in Bié, four in Huíla and three in Cuando Cubango.
Angola has a total of 55,583 cases, 1513 deaths, 47,328 recovered from the disease, 6742 active, of which 28 in critical condition, 41 severe, 195 moderate, 85 mild and 6393 asymptomatic.
123 people are in institutional quarantine and 3527 contacts are under epidemiological surveillance.
In the period under analysis, 2715 samples were processed by RT-PCR, making a cumulative total of 989,147 samples processed to date, giving a cumulative rate of 5.6 percent.
