Six new ambassadors accredited by the President of the Republic

President João Lourenço accredited six new ambassadors this Thursday. These are the ambassadors of Guinea, Algeria, Gabon, Japan, Croatia and Mexico.

According to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic, to which VerAngola had access, the "certification ceremony took place in the Grand Hall of the Presidential Palace" this Thursday morning.

"The diplomats presented to the President of the Republic of Angola, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, the formal documents authorizing them to begin their duties in Angola," the statement reads.

Thus, four resident ambassadors and two non-resident ambassadors were accredited.

These are Djenabou Saifon Diallo (Guinea), Edwige Koumby Missambo (Gabon), Mounir Bourouba (Algeria), and Sano Hiroaki (Japan), all with resident status.

Anita Trsic (Croatia) and Sara Valdés Bolano (Mexico) are the ambassadors accredited with non-resident status.

According to the Presidency's note, the ceremony included statements from ministers of state, secretaries to the President of the Republic and members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' board.
