Africell expands signal to the provinces of Cuanza Sul and Benguela starting next month

Africell will extend its signal to two provinces in the country starting next month. The fourth operator in the country has an ongoing tender that will ensure the installation of infrastructure to expand its services to the provinces of Kwanza Sul and Benguela.

In Cuanza Sul, according to Expansão, implementation is planned in the municipalities of Porto Amboim and Sumbe, while in Benguela the municipalities of Lobito, Benguela and Baía Farta will be the ones covered.

This enlargement was planned for June. However, according to information from the company, cited by the same newspaper, due to some problems, it was not possible to comply with the agenda, which was delayed for about two months.

It should be noted that Africell launched its services in the country in April, and on the occasion Gonçalo Farias, executive director of Africell Angola, assured that by the end of this year the operator's services would reach Huíla and Huambo, and that later and in a phased would be extended to other parts of the country.

According to Expansão, the official indicated that the lack of roaming in the country is one of the main reasons that have led the company to fail to improve its services as well as expand its infrastructure to other provinces, in addition to the capital.

In addition, there is already a study in Cabinda, but the operator - which shares infrastructure with several companies - depends on the development of conditions for this same sharing, writes Expansão.
