At the service launch ceremony, its managers pointed out that customers will also be able to use the Africell 4G network with data packages at up to half price, with 1GB of data worth 750 kwanzas.
"In this launch phase, calls within the Africell network are free, calls to other networks cost 12 kwanzas and we also associate low-cost products with these tariffs and we will also have mobile phones", said the executive director of Africell, Gonçalo Farias.
According to the official, the company, which invested 150 million dollars, has a very broad expansion policy, which does not exclusively involve the installation of traditional stores.
"The stores are much more a center for representing the brand and the company's values, we not only have stores, we have outdoor kiosks, indoor kiosks, customer reception centers", he pointed out.
The new mobile telephony operator in Angola guarantees to install, at the end of next week, 120 customer service points with mobile brigades to support the brand activation actions.
After Luanda, actions are already underway to expand Africell's network in the provinces of Benguela, Lubango and Cabinda, and the company's pace of expansion "is highly dependent on what will be the evolution of infrastructure sharing conditions".
Gonçalo Farias made it known that at the moment Africell "is not sharing the infrastructure with Unitel", the largest operator in the country, but only with Movicel, the second largest operator.
Africell "is directly investing its capital to build new infrastructure and if it has an alternative to share with other operators, its investment will be much lower".
"We are very interested in infrastructure sharing being a reality so that investment can be boosted at the market level and we are open to negotiating with all market operators. We are already sharing the infrastructure with several public institutions in the country, because we want quality services", he stressed.
Boosting the telecommunications sector in Angola "with a new era of competition" is one of the objectives of Africell, a company that holds the fourth universal license for mobile telecommunications in Angola, as stressed by its chairman and CEO, Ziad Dalloul.

The new telephone network says it has already created more than 1000 direct and indirect jobs, with 95 percent of the workforce being Angolan.
Angela Domingos, director of Human Resources at Africell, said on the occasion that the operator will provide the Angolan people "with a world-class, reliable and low-price mobile phone service option as demanded by the Angolan people".
For his part, the ambassador of the United States of America to Angola, Tulinabo Mushingi, congratulated Africell and its partners on the start of operations, referring to an important achievement as a result of the ambition and hard work of the North American company.
"Our ambition has no borders, today marks the beginning of a new brilliant chapter with the start of the operator that should enable connections, create jobs and new opportunities in Angola", pointed out the US diplomat.
