According to Angop, the project is budgeted at six million dollars and foresees the construction and assembly of two laboratories in Luanda province, one in Uige, one in Lunda Norte and one in Huambo.
Four of the laboratories are fixed and one will be set up in the Special Economic Zone in Luanda, with a capacity for 2000 tests, said at the time Minister Sílvia Lutucuta, cited in a note from the Ministry of Health.
The team will be led by Angolan Waldemar Rodrigues, who is part of the Chinese company and will provide training and monitor the assembly of the laboratories.
Angola already has 607 cases of covid-19, including 28 deaths.
The covid-19 pandemic has already caused more than 590,000 deaths and infected more than 13.83 million people in 196 countries and territories, according to a report made by French agency AFP.
In Africa, there are 14,399 confirmed deaths in more than 664,000 infected in 54 countries, according to the latest pandemic statistics on the continent.
