According to the Centro Cultural Camões de Luanda, in a statement released this Thursday, the initiative, part of the DOC Luanda program, aims to support the winners to work on their project dossiers at a professional level, to qualify for funding national and international financing.
The projects "A Marca", by Luwengo André, "Miramar", by Tiofánio Nicolas, "Mabita no Paraíso", by Wholoffe Barroso, "Os Bakama", by Eurico Pereira, "Nkelê", by Nark Luenzi and "História do Cinema Angolano", by Jorge Cohen were the winners.
The competition, which was created to stimulate creation, quality and artistic offerings in the documentary area, had 22 applications, but only six projects were considered and selected.
The third edition of DOC Luanda took place between the 16th and 22nd of May with free cinema sessions at the Centro Cultural Camões.
