Covid-19: 185 more cases and two deaths with more than one million vaccinated

Angola recorded 185 more cases of covid-19 and two deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who also announced that the country has already vaccinated more than one million people.

The new cases were detected in Luanda (126), Huambo (41), Cabinda (9), Huíla (6), Zaire (2) and Cunene (1), 110 males and 75 females, aged seven months and 97 years.

Two deaths were recorded in this period, a man and a woman, 46 and 54 years old, respectively, and 303 people were recovered, between 1 and 85 years old.

The total number of cases now rises in Angola to 34,551 cases, of which 766 deaths, 28,079 recovered and 5706 active, of which 17 are in critical condition and 44 in serious condition.

There are 257 patients in hospital and 132 people in institutional quarantine.

2005 samples were processed, while the cumulative points to 589,603 tests.

From 2 March until today, 750 million doses of vaccines against covid-19 have been administered, of which 294,577 correspond to second doses.

In Angola, Astra Zeneca, the Russian Sputnik and the Velocel of the Chinese Sinopharm are being administered.
