Speaking to the media after a meeting with the executive secretary of the CPLP, Francisco Ribeiro Telles, held as part of the preparation of the XIII Conference of Heads of State and Government, Téte António pointed out that "little by little, progressively the world is becoming return" to normality.
"In Luanda, it will also be possible to hold the CPLP summit in person, but we will certainly respect the measures," added the minister, who said that they will be observed "in all activities that will take place" in the capital. , including the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Portuguese-speaking organization, which takes place on 17 July.
Angola will officially assume the presidency of the CPLP during the summit of heads of state and government scheduled for 16 and 17 July in Luanda, succeeding Cape Verde, which had its mandate extended for another year due to the covid-19 pandemic .
Earlier this month, the Government approved the maintenance of the situation of public calamity in the country for another 30 days due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Among the measures is the quarantine regime, which is mandatory and, in principle, at home, for a period of up to 10 days for arrivals in the territory.
