The plane is scheduled to arrive at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport early Tuesday morning and, according to an aeronautical source, quoted by Angop, will already be marked with the new TAAG logo.
"The reinforcement of the fleet and the modernization of services continue to be TAAG's bets. This year we are gradually starting to receive new aircraft, DASH 8-400s (turboprop), from the manufacturer De Havillande Aircraft, a total of six, initially," said the same source, which also revealed that this purchase also included aircraft of type Boeing 777.
This new aircraft will reinforce TAAG's domestic and regional routes. Currently, the company operates more than 12 domestic and several international routes - in Africa, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and South America - with a fleet of ten aircraft.
To ensure the efficient use of these new aircraft, in November TAAG trained 72 maintenance technicians, 42 pilots, 36 flight attendants and four officers and flight operations.
