Two months later, Macon resumes inter-provincial and municipal services

Macon, the road transport company, resumed its Monday transport services for inter-provincial and municipal passengers. The Luanda municipality remains an exception, taking into account the maintenance of a sanitary fence in the capital.

The operations of this means of public transport were banned for approximately 60 days, taking into account the danger of the spread of covid-19.

According to statements to Angop by the commercial director of the private operator, Armando Macedo, in a first phase 40 buses will be available that will operate on lines in the center and south of the country. Cabinda, on the other hand, will have inter-municipal services.

The Huambo / Cuando-Cubango (Menongue), Bie (Cuito) Huila (Lubango) / Cunene (Santa-Clara), Cuito / Lubango / Namibe (Moçamedes) and Cuanza-Sul (Sumbe) / Benguela / Huambo lines are operational.

The operator states that all passengers must comply with the rules of hand hygiene and social distance, both when purchasing tickets and when embarking.
