Manuel Nunes Júnior was speaking this Monday at the ceremony between the new Minister of Industry and Commerce, Victor Fernandes, and his predecessors.
The governor stressed that, with the change in the organic structure of the executive, the productive activity was concentrated in the Ministries of Industry and Trade and Agriculture and Fisheries, which "will have a great responsibility in the revitalization of the productive base of the country, with a view to relaunching economic growth and increasing the number of jobs in the country".
According to Manuel Nunes Júnior, only with the increase in national production will Angola be able to increase employment levels and the income of citizens and families.
"The more people are working and earning decent wages, the greater the degree of satisfaction of families, so we have to work to increase the number of jobs in the economy", he said.
In his speech Manuel Nunes Júnior stressed the need to reduce or eliminate imports of products, in particular those of the basic basket, a challenge to which he called on the country's entrepreneurs.
"In Angola we have entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs of high value. People able to take risks and move forward with projects, business in order to make them profitable and efficient, even in very adverse conditions," he said.
In his turn, the new holder of the Industry and Trade portfolio, in statements to the press, indicated as priorities the investment in national production and the reduction of imports, with the ministerial body that directs a very close relationship with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
"Of course this is not done in a day, at the moment we are still working on the definition of the organic statute, which is already ready and we will submit the proposal for higher approval", he said.
