Caixa Angola, Sonangalp and TV-Cabo will be privatized through a stock exchange later this year

Caixa Angola, Sonangalp and TV-Cabo will be privatized through the stock market later this year. The information is provided by Patrício Vilar, chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the Institute for the Management of State Assets and Shares (IGAPE).

"Caixa Angola will be privatized through a stock exchange, Sonangalp will be privatized through a stock exchange, TV-Cabo will be privatized through a stock exchange, we are doing everything we can to ensure that it is during this economic year", he said.

The official, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), made it known that IGAPE has already started the process of privatizing strategic companies and that Bodiva, Ensa and SGA will soon pass into private hands: "Some of the strategic companies have already been privatized, will soon be privatized, Bodiva, Ensa, SGA".

Odair Costa, executive director of Bodiva, considered that they have the conditions for privatization to take place this semester: "We believe that we have all the conditions for this operation to take place in this first semester. that in this period it will be possible to have the stock market functioning".

Also quoted by RNA, Daniel Sapateiro, economist, considered that the way chosen to privatize Caixa Angola, Sonangalp and TV-Cabo is advantageous.

"The privatization model using auctions allows for a minimum value to be established from which competitors make their offers or bids and, with that, can have a greater income for the State and also to make the process faster , transparent and transmit confidence to the economic agents of this and other future privatizations", he said.
