In a statement that VerAngola had access to, IGAPE reported that "during the application submission phase, within the limited competition by prior qualification, for the privatization of the IU and BINA hotels, the negotiating committee received a total of 16 applications, demonstrating the market's interest in this process, which aims to promote the dynamism of the tourism sector and the appreciation of state assets."
The negotiating committee is currently notifying the candidates with preliminary reports.
IGAPE also states that the "process is following its legal procedures," and the electronic auction is scheduled for August 25th, "with exclusive participation of qualified candidates."
