The minister, who was speaking during a presentation to the press of the measures foreseen in the state of emergency, which started at 00:00 on Friday, said that among the last seven samples analyzed, a positive result was registered.
She is a 41-year-old woman who arrived from Lisbon on 19 March, she added.
The minister added that the Government will pay special attention to the supply of drinking water to guarantee that hand and personnel hygiene is ensured, as well as the disinfection of the streets, promising more measures for the coming days.
The new coronavirus, responsible for the covid-19 pandemic, has already infected more than 505,000 people worldwide, of whom about 23,000 have died. Of the cases of infection, at least 108,900 are considered cured.
After appearing in China in February, the outbreak spread across the world, prompting the World Health Organization (WHO) to declare a pandemic situation.
The African continent has so far registered 73 deaths due to the new coronavirus, exceeding 2800 cases in 46 countries.
