Seven new factories open this year in the Catumbela Industrial Complex and will create more than 1000 direct jobs

Until June, seven new factories will be opened in the Industrial Pole of Catumbela. The new manufacturing units will enable the creation of more than 1000 direct jobs.

According to Miguel Correia, chairman of the pole's Board of Directors (PCA), in June there will be conditions for opening the new manufacturing units.

"In June we will be able to inaugurate the shoe company, we will be able to inaugurate the biscuit company (...), we will still inaugurate a steel mill that is in phase 2 of the production of rebar and steel angles", he said, in statements to the Public Television of Angola (TPA).

The new units, which will start operating in the coming months, belong to the food, fishing, agricultural and metallurgical sectors.

According to TPA, the Industrial Pole of Catumbela, which has more than 200 units installed, of which 84 are in operation, operates within the scope of the goals set by the Government with the objective of promoting the development of the industrial sector.
