The minister's interrogation was scheduled for this Tuesday, however, the session was eventually postponed after Manuel Nunes Júnior failed to appear, citing agenda reasons.

The hearing was rescheduled for Wednesday at 09h30, Manuel Nunes Júnior being the last of the witnesses to be heard by the panel of judges chaired by João da Cruz Pitra.

"As we do not have an answer and at this late hour, the court decided to postpone the discussion and trial session. We will contact the necessary services to know what happened, because the absence in court can be punishable by a fine and we have to verify what really happened", said the trial spokesperson, quoted by Novo Jornal.

As for José Eduardo dos Santos' statements, Amor de Fátima said the court is still waiting for the former president's answers to the questionnaire sent.

Manuel Nunes Júnior - who at the time of the events was Minister of State for Economic and Social Coordination - was included on the list of witnesses for the defence of Valter Filipe, former governor of the National Bank of Angola (BNA), for allegedly having been present at a meeting at which the former president had authorized the creation of the US$30 billion financing fund.
