The revelation was made on Thursday in court during the '500 Million Case' trial by António Soares da Gama and Anselmo Eduardo Salvador, the reporters heard at the session.
According to António Gama, his name is on the list of shareholders of Mais Financial Service. However, António Soares da Gama has shown that he is not aware of the matter. According to Jornal de Angola, the declarant stated that he does not know where the company's headquarters is located and that, although his name appears in the minutes of the company's meetings, he was never present.
António Gama also said that the minutes were not signed at the end of the meetings, but in the GPS company - belonging to Jorge Gaudens Pontes and where he was just a mere employee.
"I didn't know what my shares were, nor did I know the share capital of the company of which I was a shareholder", he said, adding that he also didn't know which notary office certified his signature for the company to be incorporated.
Anselmo Eduardo Salvador, who works at Transcoorp, also owned by Jorge Gaudens Pontes, supported António Soares da Gama's thesis, saying he had been called to be part of the company's incorporation, but that shortly after he left the list of shareholders: "I found the power of attorney already made in the Transcoorp's office" and "I only signed it", he revealed.
Anselmo said this was not the first time he had been asked to sign documents of this kind and, according to the same newspaper, he did not ask what documents were those because he had confidence in Jorge Gaudens.
The trial will resume on Tuesday, with the hearing of Manuel Nunes Júnior, Minister of State for Economic Coordination.
