Covid-19: Angola registers 441 new cases, four deaths and 671 recoveries

Angola recorded, in the last 24 hours, 441 new cases, four deaths and 671 recoveries, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health, released this Thursday.

The highest number of cases was found in the province of Luanda (250), followed by Cuanza Norte (72), Cabinda (40), Huambo (28), Cunene (16), Zaire (11), Bié (7), Benguela (6), Huíla (5), Lunda Sul (2), Moxico (2), Kwanza Sul (1) and Lunda Norte (1).

The new infections were seen in patients aged between two months and 78 years, 336 males and 105 females.

The bulletin also reports that, in the same period, four deaths were also recorded, of which one man and three women, in the provinces of Huambo (2), Luanda (1) and Luanda Sul (1).

671 recoveries were also reported, of which 196 in Luanda, 105 in Huambo, 62 in Moxico, 19 in Bié, 13 in Cunene, seven in Huíla, six in Lunda Sul, four in Lunda Norte and two in Uíge.

The laboratories processed, in the same period, 3528 samples by RT-PCR with a daily positivity rate of 12.5 percent.

With the latest data, the country accounts for a total of 95,220 cases, of which 7065 are active, 1881 have died and 86,274 have recovered.
